‘Incorporating traditional methods of healing into modern lifestyles’

My early passion for travel led me to some incredible places where I was constantly amazed at the intuitive knowledge that traditional cultures have with their food, medicinal plants and environment and the beneficial relationship that this has to their physical and mental health and wellbeing.

I believe our modern lifestyles have moved us too far away from these valuable traditional connections which has a detrimental impact on our overall health.

My ongoing interest and passion in traditional medicine and cultures led me to study a Bachelor of Health Science degree in Naturopathy 2007 and to further expand my knowledge with ongoing studies in Ayurvedic medicine.

As our modern lives become busier and more stressful it is difficult to maintain good healthy lifestyle habits and our physical and emotional health begins to suffer.

I work with each of my clients to develop programs and treatments that suit their personal situation and needs that are both manageable and achievable. There is no one size fits all answer to health and wellness as each of us is an individual with different requirements.

Through my work I will educate and guide you on your journey back to good health by reconnecting with traditional ways that are both healing and therapeutic.

I love being able to incorporate traditional methods of health and wellness into our modern lifestyles and get great satisfaction from seeing people inspired through education and empowerment to take control of their own health and wellbeing.

Naturopathy and Ayurveda combine well as a form of natural healthcare as both therapies share similar principles in providing a holistic approach to wellness.

Naturopathy is a form of natural medicine that takes a holistic approach to wellness by supporting you to live a healthy lifestyle. The foundations of naturopathy are based on the importance of a healthy diet, lifestyle, exercise and stress management.

Naturopathy aims to educate you to look after your own health, to minimise symptoms of illness, support the body’s capacity to heal and to balance the body so that illness is less likely to occur in the future.

A range of therapies are used including diet and lifestyle advice, nutritional and herbal medicines, flower essences and stress management techniques.

Ayurvedic medicine is an ancient system of traditional medicine that originated in India over 5000 years ago. Ayurveda understands that a healthy and strong digestive system is at the core of good health to provide optimal nourishment to the cells and tissues in your body.

An ayurvedic consult will assess your individual dosha (constitution) and identify any imbalances that are impacting your physical and mental and spiritual wellbeing.

Ayurvedic treatments include dietary and lifestyle changes, herbal medicines and stress management techniques specific to your individual makeup with the aim of restoring and maintaining your natural balance.

Working with each client individually allows me to develop programs and treatments that suit your personal situation and needs that are both manageable and achievable.

Through my work I educate and guide my clients on their journey back to good health by reconnecting with traditional ways that are both healing and therapeutic.
